\n<\/span><\/strong><\/a>If we don’t start taxing fatty foods then half of British adults will be obese by 2030, say ministers<\/a>. This is an inevitably fraught political issue – few foods have VAT on them at the moment and such a move would hit the poor hardest. But without these measure it is feared that by 2050, obesity will cost the government \u00a332 billion a year.<\/p>\n
