For any lover of food and cookery, Books for Cooks, just off Portobello Road, is something of a paradise. It sells, as the name suggests, cookery books, and lots of them – every book you could possibly want on every cuisine, every quirk, every allergy, with memoirs and biographies and beer and wine. Another pull is that you can have a delicious three course lunch there for £7, though this becomes less of a bargain when you spend £50 on books.
Anyway, Books for Cooks also run workshops, and I am doing one such workshop on the 22nd September. Details below, would be great to see you there.
Thursday 22nd September, 11am – Seasonal Suppers with James Ramsden
Join cookbook author James Ramsden as he delivers fresh and fragrant solutions to the what’s-for-dinner dilemma, with a range of flavoursome cuts, seasonal ingredients and easy to prepare recipes, perfectly adapted to modern timings and tastes. And, celebrating British Food Fortnight, there’ll be a British twist too.
