Yes, I did feel sorry for him after seeing how much he was suffering, but he completely brought it upon himself and after more than fair warning not to.

I only saw the immediate reaction though, I hate to think how he must have felt the next day!

Oh my Lord – that sounds horrible…you wouldn’t get over that in a hurry. The phrase ‘serves him right’ does spring to mind though.

I bought “Da Bomb” as part of a Christmas present for my sister’s (now ex) boyfriend a couple of years ago as he is some what of a chilli fiend, and being half Indian laughed in the face of our pitiful Scoville tolerance. He told me afterwards that he’d tried adding a single drop to the water he was cooking some rice in and it had been almost unbearably hot.

Flash forward to last September and my sister’s birthday party. Late in the evening (early in the morning?) it transpired he still had “Da Bomb”, now over a year old. I, reasonably, told him he should probably pour it away, however his “macho…who-can-eat-the-hottest-chilli willy-waving” friends had a better idea and began daring each other to eat a teaspoon full. Finally, the willy-waving-est (read stupidest) of them all emerged, and despite my protestations that I was sure chilli heat only increased with age, downed a teaspoon full.

Thus followed two hours of drinking his way through four litres of milk and continual vomiting in the back garden.

“Macho…who-can-eat-the-hottest-chilli willy-waving” boys be warned, you do NOT want to mess with “Da Bomb”!

Johnny was mercifully playing acoustic so it wasn’t too, ahem, riotous.

Well I was lucky enough to be treated (as I mentioned earlier) but think it most certainly would have been worth it. Plenty of good food and good grog.
